| PublicationDate: 8/7/96 Summary: 1996-97 FAFSA Processing Author: ODAS - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary - SFA Announcement #68, August 7, 1996 We have been notified that one MDE received but did not complete its process of approximately 9,000 applications. These applications had original receipt dates of June 28 through July 15. All these original and renewal applications were mailed to the Cahokia, Illinios processing address. Approximately 7,500 were processed last week (July 26), and the remaining 1,500 were transmitted to the Central Processing system (CPS) by August 4. In addition, approximately 10,000 applications were received at the Mt. Vernon processing site in late June, however, due to a system malfunction, these records were not computed at the CPS. These records were included in the compute for Monday, August 5 and ISIRs will be available by Thursday, August 8. All other processing has remained within the contractual turnaround times.
