No processing statistics are available today. B. Problems Identified with Processed Corrections and Subsequent FAFSAs A problem was identified in the Central Processing System that affected corrections and subsequent applications. This problem was fixed on May 17. Applications or renewal applications that are first (01) transactions were not affected. Prior to May 17, corrections or subsequent applications were processed and the resulting ISIRs were correct, but some of these corrections were not stored to the CPS database properly on applicants' 02 transactions. When another correction was subsequently processed, the resulting 03 transaction was incorrect. There are also a small number of 04 transactions similarly affected. This problem resulted in the missing data fields that some of you have reported to us. This did not happen with all 02 or 03 or 04 records , but affected approximately 51,300 transactions. We are currently adding the missing fields to the database and the affected transactions will be reprocessed. Any corrections made against the 01 or 02 transactions on or after May 17 will not have this problem. We are still working on correcting the small number of 03 and subsequent transactions. We will let you know when the reprocessing of the 03 and 04 transactions take place. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding. |
