Subject: Live Internet Webinar - Verification and Unusual Enrollment History

Summary: This letter announces an instructor-led, online training session that will provide information about the requirements for verification of FAFSA/ISIR information and for the resolution of Unusual Enrollment History (UEH) issues. The webinar will be offered twice in January 2016.

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce an upcoming webinar that will provide schools with an update on the requirements for verifying information provided by applicants for Title IV federal student aid. The webinar will also include a review of how schools are expected to resolve Unusual Enrollment History (UEH) issues as flagged on students’ ISIRs. To provide increased opportunity for those interested in attending, we will offer this single webinar on two separate occasions.

The first portion of the webinars will include an overview of verification, including a discussion of verification policy changes for 2016-2017, acceptable documentation, verification tracking groups, verification hot topics, and operational changes related to verification for 2016-2017. The second part of the webinar will provide an overview of UEH and describe UEH changes for 2016-2017. Resolution of UEH issues and UEH reporting requirements will also be discussed. A live question and answer period will be provided at the conclusion of the webinar.

Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) senior staff will present this webinar in a 90-minute session offered on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. (ET) and again on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. (ET).

Advance registration is required for this training and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To allow for as many participants as possible, we strongly encourage groups to view the webinar from a single location if accommodations allow. If viewing as a group, only one person from the group needs to register.

To register for the webinar, click on this link:

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.

PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar.

We look forward to your participation in this instructor-led, online training opportunity.

Sincerely,

Federal Student Aid
