Subject: Online Training Module - Consumer Information
Summary: This letter announces the availability of Federal Student Aid’s online training module on consumer information requirements, including resources to help you develop and disseminate required consumer information at your school.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce the availability of an online, self-paced training module about required consumer information disclosures, featuring a variety of lessons and resources to help ensure that your school is meeting the requirements for consumer information disclosures and notifications. This course covers all components of consumer information, with the exception of disclosures related to campus and fire safety (the Clery Act) and the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act. Disclosure requirements related to those topics will be covered in a subsequent online course, which we will announce in the future.
This training is intended for financial aid professionals and all other school staff with consumer information responsibilities.
The "Consumer Information" training module is available on the Federal Student Aid E-Training Web site, located at http://fsatraining.info.
To access the training, log in to Federal Student Aid E-Training with your username and password. After logging in, select "Training by Topics" from the main menu bar. From the drop-down menu that appears, choose "Consumer Information" and then select "Enroll Me" to launch the course.
Note: If you do not have a username and password for Federal Student Aid E-Training, click on "Create new account" on the home page and follow the instructions to create a username and password.
Thank you for your continued interest in and support of our training efforts. If you have questions about this training opportunity, please contact Byron Scott at byron.scott@ed.gov.
Sincerely,
Jana Hernandes
