Subject: Training Recording - Completing the FISAP
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid’s recorded training session on the FISAP.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce the availability of a recorded training session that focuses on the Fiscal Operations Report for 2012-2013 and Application to Participate for 2014-2015 (FISAP). This FISAP is available on the eCampus-Based (eCB) Web site and must be submitted no later than October 1, 2013 by schools that participate in the Federal Perkins Loan Program, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Program, and Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program. We will review the sections of the FISAP, identify changes made to the current FISAP, and discuss the most commonly made errors when completing the FISAP. The training is intended for individuals on the financial aid and business office staff who are responsible for completing the FISAP—especially those who are new to completing the FISAP.
The "Completing the FISAP" training recording is available on the Federal Student Aid E-Training Web site, located at http://fsatraining.info.
To access the training, log in to Federal Student Aid E-Training with your username and password. After logging in, point your cursor to “Training by Topics” on the main menu bar. From the drop-down menu that appears, choose "FISAP Training" and then select "Enroll Me" to launch the course.
Note: If you do not have a username and password for Federal Student Aid E-Training, click on "Create new account" in the right-hand column on the home page and follow the instructions to create a username and password.
We recommend trainees download and print the PowerPoint slides before viewing the training recording. PDF versions of the PowerPoint slides and the current FISAP form and instructions are available in the References, Resources, and Help section of the “Completing the FISAP” course. PDF versions of the current FISAP form and instructions are also available on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site at http://ifap.ed.gov/fisap-form-and-instructions/07-18-2013-subject-final-form-and-instructions-fisap-due-october-1-2013.
Thank you for your continued interest in and support of our training efforts. If you have questions about this training opportunity, please contact Sandy Santana at sandra.santana@ed.gov.
Sincerely,
Jana Hernandes
