Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid’s instructor-led, online training session that will provide detailed operational updates for software developers.

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce an instructor-led, online training session for software developers that will provide operational updates on Federal Student Aid systems, including the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System, the Central Processing System (CPS), and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). The conference will include a discussion of the operational implementation of the 150% Direct Subsidized Loan Limit. This training is intended for software developers that design software to support Title IV federal student aid processing.

We will present this information on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. (ET). We will offer targeted sessions on each specific topic and participants may choose to attend any or all of the sessions.

The conference agenda is as follows (session times are provided in Eastern Time):

1:00 P.M. – Introduction

1:30 P.M. – COD System Update

2:00 P.M. – CPS Update

2:30 P.M. – NSLDS Update

3:00 P.M. – 150% Direct Subsidized Loan Limit Changes

3:30 P.M. – Q&A

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.

PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
