Subject: Live Internet Webinar - Software Developers Webinar May 2013
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid’s instructor-led, online training session that will provide detailed operational updates for software developers.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce an instructor-led, online training session for software developers that will provide operational updates on Federal Student Aid systems, including the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System, the Central Processing System (CPS), and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). We will also discuss updates to the eCampus-Based (eCB) System and changes to the 2014-2015 Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP). This training is intended for software developers that design software to support Title IV federal student aid processing.
We will present this information in a half-day session offered on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. (ET).
Note: There may be a difference between a trainee's local time and Eastern Time. To determine local time and its Eastern Time zone equivalent, click on this link:
An additional webinar for software developers is planned for August 2013. We will provide information about the additional training opportunity later this summer on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site.
Advance registration is required for this training and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To register for the webinar, click on this link:
Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
We look forward to your participation in this instructor-led, online training opportunity. If you have questions about this training opportunity, please contact Jennifer Jaw at jennifer.jaw@ed.gov or Sue O'Flaherty at sue.o'flaherty@ed.gov.
Sincerely,
Jana HernandesService Director, Operations
