Subject: Live Internet Webinar - COD and StudentLoans.gov Enhancements for 2011-2012 Direct Loan Processing
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid's instructor-led, online training session on enhancements to 2011-2012 Direct Loan processing in the COD System, including a discussion of updates to the COD and StudentLoans.gov Web sites.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will describe enhancements to the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System for the 2011-2012 Award Year, including information on changes to the COD Web site and the StudentLoans.gov Web site. This training is intended for financial aid office personnel at both domestic and foreign schools who are interested in knowing more about how these system enhancements impact the processing of William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program data.
We will present this information in one 90-minute session and will offer the webinar multiple times, to provide ample opportunity for those interested in attending.
Note: The June 15, 2011 session has been scheduled at a time convenient for many foreign school staff; however, all sessions are open to both domestic and foreign school participants.

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
