Subject: Live Internet Webinar - Program Integrity Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid's instructor-led, online training session on a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) published in the Federal Register on June 18, 2010. The NPRM proposes changes that improve integrity in the Title IV student assistance programs.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will focus on proposed regulatory changes that improve integrity in the Title IV student assistance programs. As explained in a June 21, 2010 Electronic Announcement on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, we published an NPRM in the Federal Register on June 18, 2010. Some of the areas of proposed change include verification, satisfactory academic progress, Return of Title IV Aid (R2T4), disbursement rules, credit hour definition, and incentive compensation. The training is intended for all school participants in the Title IV student assistance programs.
Federal Student Aid staff will present this information in a 90-minute session offered on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. (ET) and again on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. (ET).

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
