Subject: Live Internet Webinar – Using EDExpress to Process Direct Loans

Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid's instructor-led, online training session on using the EDExpress for Windows software to process Direct Loans.

We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will provide detailed information about using the EDExpress for Windows software to process William D. Ford Federal Direct Loans (Direct Loans). This training is intended for financial aid office personnel who are new users of the EDExpress Direct Loan module.

The webinar provides a complete overview of the EDExpress Direct Loan module and includes information about the following software functions and processes:

  • Setup
  • Loan Origination
  • Disbursements
  • Exporting Origination and Disbursement Records
  • Modifying Disbursement Information
  • Multiple Entry
  • Reports

Federal Student Aid staff will present this information in a 90-minute session offered on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. (ET).

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, and system test links.

PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
