We are pleased to announce the availability of a recorded training session that provides a complete overview of the professional judgment process. This 50 minute training session is intended for financial aid office personnel who are interested in learning more about the use of professional judgment in the administration of the Federal Student Aid Programs.
The recorded training session includes the following information:
- Statutory basis and rationale for the authority to use professional judgment
- Types of professional judgment
- Prohibitions when exercising professional judgment
- Examination of recent guidance (Dear Colleague Letters) provided by the U.S. Department of Education (the Department) related to professional judgment
