Subject: Live Internet Webinar – What’s New for Direct Loans
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid's instructor-led, online training session on recent enhancements to the Direct Loan Program, including the StudentLoans.gov Web site.
We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will focus on recent enhancements to the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program, including the new StudentLoans.gov Web site. The webinar is designed for financial aid administrators at schools currently participating in, or transitioning to, the Direct Loan Program, who would like to learn more about these enhancements.
Federal Student Aid staff will present this information in a 90-minute session offered on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. (ET) and once again on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. (ET).

Advance registration is required for this training and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, and system test links.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
