Subject: Live Internet Webinars - Additional Year-Round Pell Grant Webinar for Term-Based Schools and Year-Round Pell Grant Webinar for Clock-Hour/Non-Term Schools
Summary: This letter announces additional instructor-led, online training on implementation of the year-round Pell Grant provision.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce additional instructor-led, online training on implementation of the year-round Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grant) provision. This training was first offered in February 2010. Due to high demand for this information, we are offering these webinars again in late March 2010.
The Higher Education Opportunity Act (the HEOA), Pub. L. 110-315, enacted on August 14, 2008, authorizes schools to disburse up to two Pell Grants in a single award year, beginning with the 2009-2010 Award Year, for Pell-eligible students. Final regulations related to this change to the Pell Grant Program were published in the Federal Register on October 29, 2009. The focus of this training will be implementation of the year-round Pell Grant provision for the 2009-2010 Award Year, including Summer 2010, and subsequent award years. It is intended for all schools that participate in the Pell Grant Program.
Federal Student Aid staff will present this information in one 90-minute session, with one version of the training designed for term-based schools and the other version designed for clock-hour/non-term schools.
The webinar "Year-Round Pell Grant for Term-Based Schools" will be offered on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. (ET).
The webinar "Year-Round Pell Grant for Clock-Hour/Non-Term Schools" will be offered on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. (ET).

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
We look forward to your participation in this instructor-led, online training opportunity. If you have questions about this training opportunity, please contact Jamie Malone at jamie.malone@ed.gov.
