Subject: Reminder - Direct Loan Webinar Training Suite

Summary: This letter reminds the community about a suite of instructor-led, online training sessions on Direct Loans. Four weeks of training during October, November, and December 2009 remain open for registration.

Dear Colleague:

In Dear Colleague Letter ANN-09-30, we announced a suite of instructor-led, online training sessions on the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program. The webinar suite consists of six different 90-minute sessions related to key aspects of Direct Loan processing. We are offering the entire webinar training suite during October, November, and December 2009. Four weeks of training remain open for registration and we encourage individuals interested in learning more about Direct Loans to register. There is no cost to attend this training series.

For complete session descriptions, training schedule, and registration information, refer to ANN-09-30. Links to register for each session are available in the attachment to the letter titled "Direct Loan Webinar Training Suite Session Schedule and Registration Links."

Reminders:

  • Registration Confirmation- We will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee after registration is complete. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information about the webinar, including linking and log in information for the Web site and system test links.
  • Cancellation- If a registered trainee is unable to attend a webinar, there is no need to cancel the registration.
  • Participant Handouts- PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. Trainees may sign in and access the training materials 15 minutes prior to the start of each webinar.
