Subject: Live Internet Webinar - General Title IV and Non-Loan Programmatic Issues Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid's instructor-led, online training session on a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published on August 21, 2009. The NPRM proposes changes to the regulations governing the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Work-Study, and TEACH Grant programs as well as changes to other institutional requirements related to the administration of all of the Title IV student assistance programs.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will focus on proposed rules related to changes to the regulations governing the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Work-Study, and Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant (TEACH Grant) programs as well as changes to other institutional requirements related to the administration of all of the Title IV student assistance programs. As explained in an August 21, 2009 Electronic Announcement on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals Web site, we published the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NRPM) in the Federal Register on August 21, 2009. The training is intended for all participants in the Title IV student assistance programs.
Department of Education staff will present this information in a 90-minute session on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. (ET).

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
