Subject: Live Internet Webinar - Direct Loan Processing for EDExpress for Windows Users
Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid’s instructor-led, online training sessions on Direct Loans using EDExpress.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training on William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) processing via the EDExpress for Windows software product. EDExpress for Windows is available for download on our Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov. The training is intended for individuals on the financial aid staff at Direct Loan schools who are using EDExpress for Windows.
This training will focus on Direct Loan processing basics related to Global and Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) set up, creating origination and disbursement records, exporting records, making changes, and multiple entry. We will also cover Direct Loan reports available within EDExpress for Windows.
We will present this information in a 90-minute session and will offer the session on three different days to provide ample opportunity for those interested in attending.

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
