Summary: This letter announces Federal Student Aid’s instructor-led, online training sessions on changes to the Pell Grant and TEACH Grant programs made by the HEOA and changes to the ACG and National SMART Grant programs made by the ECASLA.

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will focus on changes to the Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grant) and Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant (TEACH Grant) programs made by the Higher Education Opportunity Act (the HEOA), Pub. L. 110-315 and changes to the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) and National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (National SMART Grant) programs made by the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act of 2008 (the ECASLA), Pub. L. 110-227. The training is intended for all schools that participate in the ACG, Pell Grant, National SMART Grant, and TEACH Grant programs.

We will present this information in a 90-minute session and will offer the session on five different days to provide ample opportunity for those interested in attending.

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.

PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
