We are pleased to announce the first release of EDExpress Basics, the web-based training product that teaches users the basic skills needed to access and navigate the 2008-09 EDExpress and EDConnect software. This module covers Global functions and software set-up, Application Processing using FAA Access to CPS on the web, and Pell and TEACH Grant processing. Additionally this release contains a module for new users of the EDConnect data transmission software. To access this release, go to http://fsa4schools.ed.gov/edexpressbasics
By using the software in a simulated environment, users will gain an understanding of the fundamental EDExpress and EDConnect functions . This training will be a resource for on-the-job training and re-training in the use of EDExpress. This self-paced training is intended for financial aid office staff with day-to-day responsibilities using the EDExpress software.
Two more modules will be released in the coming months. A Direct Loan Processing module is expected to be released in late August and a Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act compliant version of the training will be released in September of 2008. Look for that announcement in the near future.
