Topics covered include an overview of the NSLDS system, how to make changes to student data, add users, how to read codes within the system as well as report overpayments and use the transfer monitoring function. Posted on 02-15-2008 Dear Partner: We are pleased to announce additional National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Systems Overview training series. This instructor-led online training will focus on how NSLDS functions, NSLDS codes, various reporting features and how to access the system. Participants will also learn how to use NSLDS more accurately for research, through demonstrations of the system's screen. Two New Sessions are scheduled: March 5th and March 19th. All sessions begin at 3:30 pm EST. You will be provided with a link to the session when you register. The NSLDS System Overview training module is aimed at Financial Aid Administrators with a beginning level of knowledge regarding student eligibility and the NSLDS system. Each training session will be conducted by two federal trainers and will last approximately one hour and thirty minutes. During the session, you will be able to interact with the instructors using your computer's keyboard. Because this is an on-line session, you will need to have a computer with an Internet connection and a separate phone line to access the audio portion of the training. PLEASE NOTE: We have recently upgraded our Distance Education System. The New system will require installing new browser plug-in software to your system for full functionality. This may take as long as 30 minutes to download and install. You may be required to contact your IT department in order to accomplish the upgrade. We will be unable to assist you in the installation in the 30 minutes prior to the session. So take a moment now to install the browser plug-ins.
