Publication Date: Ocotber 22, 2007 DCL ID: ANN-07-19 Summary: This letter announces ADDITIONAL training sessions on National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Aggregate Loan Calculation using Federal Student Aid's Distance Education system Posted on 10-22-2007 Dear Partner: We are pleased to announce additional classes for the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Aggregate Loan Calculation training series. This instructor-led online training will focus on how on NSLDS calculates and reports Student's aggregate loan levels. Attendees will learn to use the same methodology used by NSLDS so they can recalculate the aggregate loan levels to reflect changes in a student's loan portfolio. Participants will also learn how to use NSLDS more accurately for research, through demonstrations of the system's screen. This one hour and thirty minute session will be offered regularly beginning in July and running through December of 2007. You will be provided with a link to the session when you register. The NSLDS Aggregate Loan Calculation training module is aimed at Financial Aid Administrators with an intermediate level of knowledge regarding student eligibility and the NSLDS system. Each training session will be conducted by two federal trainers and will last one hour and thirty minutes. During the session, you will be able to interact with the instructors using your computer's keyboard. Because this is an on-line session, you will need to have a computer with an Internet connection and a separate phone line to access the audio portion of the training.
