Dear Partner:

We are pleased to announce our 2007-08 instructor-led, online training on COD Basics: Resolving Issues with Title IV Grants. This one hour and thirty minute session will be offered one time on three different days, May 15, 16, and 17, 2007. Registration is required for these sessions; please click on the following link to choose the class that best fits your schedule:

All classes will be conducted using Federal Student Aid's distance education software, which allows you to participate without leaving your desk. You will be provided with a link to the session when you register.

The COD Basics: Resolving Issues with Title IV Grants class is for beginner level users of Federal Student Aid's COD System. Aimed specifically toward resolving issues with Pell Grant, ACG, and National SMART Grant awards, this class will provide practical step-by-step guidance on how to research issues via the COD Web site. The topics that will be covered include:

• Obtaining online access;

• Searching batches by date range or SSN;

• Resolving data warning/reject issues;

• Making corrections;

• Performing grant data requests;

• Working with Multiple Reporting Record (MRR) and Potential Overaward Process (POP) reports;

• Requesting reports; and

• Finding/maintaining school contact information.

Each training session will be conducted by two Federal Student Aid trainers. Because this is an online session, you will need to have a computer with an Internet connection and a separate phone line to access the audio portion of the training.
