The first session will be delivered at Federal Student Aid headquarters in Washington, D.C. on February 13-15; the others will be delivered in our regional training facilities. Each "FA Basics" workshop will be presented by a team of four experienced Federal Student Aid Training Officers, and will provide an introduction to: -- Title IV programs, policies, and procedures. -- Important resources available to help you administer the programs and find answers for your questions. -- Title IV administrative and financial systems. You can view the complete agenda at: http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/training/basicsagenda.pdf You can view the schedule for all "Financial Aid Basics" workshops, and register for a workshop, at http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/training/index.html While this training is recommended for new or inexperienced financial aid administrators, please note that it does not satisfy the financial aid training requirement for schools seeking initial certification to participate in the Title IV programs. To satisfy that requirement, staff at such schools must register for a "Fundamentals of Title IV" workshop at http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/training/index.html. Sincerely, Kay Jacks |
