SUMMARY: This letter provides information regarding the “Institutional Application and Agreement for Participation in the Work-Colleges Program” for the 2004-2005 award year.

Dear Partner:

This letter provides information necessary to apply for participation in the Work-Colleges Program for the 2004-2005 award year. In order for an institution to participate in this program the institution must comply with all provisions of Part C Section 448, of Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA), and the applicable program regulations.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

  1. Q: How do we submit the application to the Department?

A: The Institutional Application and Agreement for Participation in the Work-Colleges Program is an attachment linked to this Dear Partner Letter. You may also find the application in the “Setup” section of the FISAP on the Web at www.cbfisap.sfa.ed.gov. The Application may be mailed or hand delivered to:

  1. Q: What is the deadline to submit the application?

A: Your application when mailed must be completed, signed, and postmarked no later than March 9, 2004. If hand delivered, the application must be delivered to the above address not later than 4:30 P.M. Eastern time on March 9, 2004.

  1. Q: What happens if we are late in submitting our application?

A: An application received after March 9, 2004 will not be considered for funding.

  1. Q: What if we have additional questions pertaining to the Work-Colleges process?

  1. Q: What can we expect after submitting our application?

A: You will be notified of our decision by April 16, 2004.

6. Q: How do we report Work-Colleges Program expenditures?

A: The 2003-2004 Work-Colleges Program Report can be found in the “Setup” section of the FISAP on the Web. The report must be completed, signed, and mailed with a postmark date no later than October 18, 2004.
