SUMMARY: This letter announces online training sessions through WebEx for 2003-04 EDExpress users.

Dear Partner:

FSA's School Delivery Channel is pleased to announce several interactive online training sessions in EDExpress Pell Grant Processing and EDExpress Direct Loan Processing using WebEx technology. If you were unable to attend a classroom session of this training, the WebEx alternative will allow you to obtain a similar learning experience without leaving your desk.

Each WebEx session will be conducted by two federal trainers. The WebEx segments cover the same topics contained in EDExpress Pell Grant and Direct Loan Processing classroom training, but they will be offered in three separate two-hour segments. You may choose to participate in only one or in all of the segments.

The sessions will provide hands-on exercises in using EDExpress, along with supplemental study materials that can be downloaded from the web. During the session, you will be able to interact with the instructors and classmates via telephone conference as well as ask questions using your computer's keyboard.

You must register to participate. We're limiting Class sizes to ten participants per session to ensure a high quality training experience, so sign up early as participation is first-come first-served. Please check the WebEx registration page below for a list of classes. (Note: This is the only way to register for these classes, as they will not be listed on the FSA University training registration page. We will be offering a range of days and times to better accommodate your busy schedules. Check the Web Address below for times and dates.

To register, go to <http://fsaconferences.ed.gov/index.html>
We hope you will find this new technology meets some of your training needs and serve as a convenient and cost-effective alternative to classroom instruction. We look forward to hearing your feedback about the technology as a method of training delivery.

Sincerely,

Clarence Hicks
