Summary: This letter announces two U.S. Department of Education
conferences entitled, "Electronics: Riding the Road to
Success," to be held on November 12-14 in Lake Tahoe
Nevada and December 8-10 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dear Colleague:

The Department of Education cordially invites you to attend a
conference entitled "Electronics: Riding the Road to Success" to be
held this fall in Lake Tahoe, NV and Atlanta, GA. These
conferences will offer participants an opportunity to learn about and
provide comments on the Department's electronic Title IV
application systems. More than 40 concurrent sessions will be
offered throughout the workshop with special sessions provided for
custom software and beginners. The agenda for both conferences are
identical. Some of the major presentation and discussion topics
will include:

- Application and Renewal Application Processing Update

- Overview of NSLDS

The first conference in Lake Tahoe will begin at 1:00 pm on
Tuesday, November 12 with a general session discussing overall
Title IV programmatic and delivery system updates. The full
program of concurrent sessions will begin promptly at 2:00 pm.
The registration desk will be open Tuesday, November 12
from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

The second conference in Atlanta, GA will begin at 1:00 pm on
Sunday, December 8 with a general session discussing overall Title
IV programmatic and delivery system updates. The full program of
concurrent sessions will begin promptly at 2:00 pm. The registration
desk will be open Sunday, December 8 from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

From Reno Airport to Harvey's or Harrah's
Resorts in Lake Tahoe, Nevada--
Lake Tahoe is approximately 62 miles from Reno. Take the TAHOE
CASINO EXPRESS located at the end of the baggage claim area.
Purchase tickets through your travel agent or the Welcome Center at
the airport for $17 one way or $30 round-trip. Cash, credit card, and
travelers checks are accepted.

No reservation is required. The shuttle departs hourly
from 6:15 a.m. to midnight. For more information,

Rental cars and taxis are also available; onsite parking
is free.

From Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport to the Hyatt
Regency Hotel--
Take the ATLANTA AIRPORT SHUTTLE located at Ground
Transportation at the end of the baggage claim area. Purchase tickets
at the airport for $8 one way or $15 round-trip. CASH ONLY!

No reservation is required. The shuttle departs every
20 minutes from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more

MARTA
Atlanta's rapid rail system, departs every 8 minutes
from the airport and will take you within 2 blocks of
the Hyatt. The cost is $1.50 each way. For more
