SUMMARY: This letter announces the Title IV Update Training to
be conducted in the spring of 1996.

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to introduce Title IV Update Training (formerly
Delivery System Training), a nationwide series of workshops
sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. This workshop
series is scheduled for early March through April of 1996.

These two-day workshops are targeted at senior financial aid
personnel. Space will be limited, and those not registered will not be
accepted. Therefore, only staff who will most benefit from the
complex material being presented should plan to attend.

The agenda will include the following topics:

- Regulatory Update
- EDExpress Update
- Cash Management
- Refund and Repayment Issues
- Student Loan Program Management Issues
- Federal Pell Grant Program Update
- National Student Loan Data System

The complete list of dates, locations, and registration procedures will
be provided in an upcoming announcement. Some of the workshops
will take place at postsecondary institutions, while others will be held
in the new ED training centers, located within EDO’s regional
offices.

We look forward to your participation in this training series.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Hicks
Deputy Assistant Secretary
for Student Financial Assistance
