SUMMARY: Cover letter for Chapter 2 of 1994-95 Federal Student
Financial Aid Handbook

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed is a copy of Chapter 2 of the 1994-95 Federal Student
Financial Aid Handbook. This chapter, along with Chapter 3, had not
been completed when the rest ofthe 1994-95 Handbook was
distributed. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may have
caused. We expect to print Chapter 3 at a later date. The 1995-96
Handbook is currently being developed, and is on schedule for
printing in June.

Due to budgetary considerations, we have limited the initial
distribution of Chapter 2 to one copy per school. If your
institution needs additional copies, you may photocopy as many as
needed. A limited additional quantity is maintained for
distribution upon request by the Federal Student Aid Information
Center at the following address:

Development Section/PIB/TPID
Office of Postsecondary Education
ROB-3, Room 4051
U.S. Department of Education
600 Independence Avenue, SW
Washington, DC 20202

If you have any comments or suggestions on Chapter 2 or any of the
other chapters of the Handbook, please submit them to the same
address.

Please note that a correction page 2-14 is enclosed with this letter. Be
sure to discard the original page 2-14, as it contains an error. We
hope that you find the 1994-95 Handbook informative and useful.

Sincerely,

William L. Moran
Director, Student Financial
Assistance Programs
