What constitutes conflicting information? When must a school act on information that changes or appears to be discrepant. Because it is important to ensure that the right students receive the correct amount of financial aid, Department staff will address those conflicts of information that may occur as a result of the verification process, when an applicant's data is updated or corrected, when a student's status changes, or when additional information about the student is received.
