The December 2006 updates incorporate recent changes to 2007-2008 SAR comment code text. The changes to the comment code text are as follows: ** Comments 247 and 249, first sentence, replaced "your parent(s)" with "someone in your parents' household" The 2007-2008 SAR Comment Codes and Text guide serves as a stand-alone guide as well as a companion to the 2007-2008 EDE Technical Reference. Refer to this guide for information on comment codes and text, including SAR Comment Text, SAR Acknowledgment Comment Text, and changes to the comments. The ISIR Comment Text file is a flat file of the SAR/ISIR comment codes that you can import into your system if you design a software system to interface with the U.S. Department of Education's application processing system. The updated 2007-2008 SAR Comment Codes and Text guide, including a tracking log of changes, is available on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, located at http://ifap.ed.gov.
