This version includes changes to the Student Aid Report (SAR) comments as a result of the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 (the HERA), Pub. L. 109-171. More information on the HERA is described in Dear Colleague Letter GEN-06-05 (http://www.ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/GEN0605.html). Additional changes to the guide have also been made that further clarify data or update inaccuracies. The reference guide is designed as a stand-alone guide as well as a companion to the 2006-2007 EDE Technical Reference. It includes the 2006-2007 SAR Comment Text and the 2006-2007 SAR Acknowledgement Comment Text. The updated 2006-2007 SAR Comment Codes and Text guide and a tracking log of changes are available in PDF format on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, located at http://ifap.ed.gov.
