How do I create an account and sign into Partner Connect?
You can only be granted access to FSA Partner Connect through your FSA Partner Connect Primary or Secondary Administrator. Once your Administrator initiates your account, you will receive an email from FSA Partner Connect with next steps to continue the account creation process. After your account is created, login to Partner Connect with your FSA User ID and password (and Two Factor Authentication (TFA).
What is an FSA User ID?
An FSA User ID is a personal username used to access one of the Federal Student Aid (FSA) systems protected by the Access and Identity Management System (AIMS). An FSA User ID and password is needed to log in to FSA Partner Connect. If you do not already have an FSA User ID, you will be prompted to create one during the account creation process.
Is this the same FSA User ID I currently use to log into COD, NSLDS®, etc.?
Yes, this is the same FSA User ID that is used to log into FAA Access to CPS Online or SAIG, NSLDS® Professional Access, eCDR Appeals System, COD Online, and other FSA Systems.
What if I forgot my username and/or password?
If you forget your password, you can select the “Forgot Password” link on the log in page. You will be required to answer the challenge questions correctly to reset your password. If you forgot your FSA User ID, select the “Forgot User ID” link on the log in page and provide your email address.
If I am associated with more than one user group, how do I change my user group after I’ve logged in?
You may be prompted to select a User Group the first time you log in to FSA Partner Connect. Any subsequent log ins will default to your previously selected User Group. You can change your selection at any time by selecting the icon in the top right of the page.

Are FSA Partner Connect Primary Administrators and Secondary Administrator User Types the same as the PDPAs and SDPAs in the SAIG Enrollment System?
The FSA Partner Connect Primary and Secondary Administrators are often the Primary Destination Point Administrators (PDPAs) and Secondary Destination Point Administrators (SDPAs) in the SAIG Enrollment System. However, FSA Partner Connect limits the number of Primary and Secondary Administrators to one per organization, so if there are multiple PDPAs or SDPAs for a single organization within the SAIG Enrollment System, the PDPA or SDPA is chosen by the Service Name they oversee for their organization in SAIG.
What does the Potential Affiliate status indicate on my Manage Organization Accounts page?
The Potential Affiliate status indicates that the account is potentially associated with your organization based on that user’s access to other FSA Systems, including NSLDS®, CPS, or COD. FSA Partner Connect displays Potential Affiliate accounts to the Primary and Secondary Administrators in case those users need to be granted access to FSA Partner Connect. This allows for a streamlined process to add users to FSA Partner Connect.
Will we still have to go into each system at least once every 90 days to prevent being made inactive or can we just go into one i.e. just COD or NSLDS?
Partner Connect is bringing a lot of improvements but users will still need to maintain specific system access by logging in at least once every 90 days. If a user does not access a specific system for 90 calendar days, FSA will disable the user's access to that system. The number of days of inactivity is unique to each system the user is authorized to access.
Will foreign schools have the same access to Partner Connect?
Information that is publicly available today will continue to be available to everyone including foreign schools! Foreign school users will also have access to functionality behind log-in, once they have been processed through SAIG enrollment. Once complete, Partner Connect access can be granted by your Primary Administrator.
How do I update my personal information?
Your personal information is in Account Settings. Account Settings can be accessed through the drop-down menu from the person icon in the header. On the Account Settings page, click the edit button to update your Job Title, Number of Years in Financial Aid, and your photo.
How do I upload a profile photo?
Your profile photo is located on the Account Settings page. Account Settings can be accessed through the drop-down menu from the person icon in the header. Then follow the instructions below to upload your photo.
Select the edit button on the My Personal Information section of the Account Settings Page.
Select “Upload,” which is located on your initials.
A pop-up will display. Select “Upload Image.”
Select a photo from your computer.
Your photo will display. Select “Save Changes.”
Select “Save Changes” again under My Personal Information.
Can other users view my profile photo?
Only you can see your photo.
Are the quick links on the Dashboard customized to what a user has access to today?
No, the quick links on the Dashboard are standard across all users and are based on feedback received from the school community regarding the most frequently accessed systems.
How long do the notifications remain on the page?
Notifications remain on the school's Dashbaord until they are resolved.

What is the Knowledge Center?
The Knowledge Center is a repository of FSA resources and information articles from ifap.ed.gov that were reorganized into a modern look and feel for easier access.
How do I update my subscriptions?
If you have existing subscriptions, you can update your subscriptions via Account Settings. If you don’t have existing subscriptions, you can set up your subscriptions by clicking the Subscriptions button on the Knowledge Center Home page.
How do I complete an Advance Search in the Knowledge Center?
You can perform an Advanced Search by clicking the Advanced Search link under the Search Bar on the Knowledge Center Home page and selecting from the Advanced Search options. By using Advanced Search, you can filter your search by Resource Type and publication date by Calendar Year or Date Range.

How do I access the Federal Student Aid Handbook?
You can access the Federal Student Aid Handbook via the Knowledge Center drop-down menu in the top navigation bar of FSA Partner Connect.
Will we still be able to download the entire book in one PDF?
The entire handbook can be downloaded in one PDF by navigating to the “PDF Download” page for the desired award year and selecting the link corresponding to the entire handbook. The handbook opens in a new browser tab and can be downloaded using the browser download function.
Where can I find the active index for the Handbook?
The new Digital Federal Student Aid Handbook utilizes an improved search capability to help users find the content they need, allowing for the legacy active index functionality to be retired.
Is there a URL address specific to each chapter of the digital version so that our LMS training can link a learner directly to a chapter of the handbook?
Yes. Each chapter of the Digital FSA Handbook will have a unique URL that can be used as a link to direct users to the specific chapter in the Digital FSA Handbook. If a user selects a section of the Handbook from the Table of Contents, the user will also be able to copy the specific URL for that section and share with colleagues. A user can also share a link to the chapter by right clicking on the desired chapter in the table of contents and selecting copy.

How do I search for a student, parent, or borrower?
To search for a student, parent, or borrower, navigate to the “Partner Connect Services” drop-down in the top menu and select “Account Search” under the Student, Parent, Borrower accounts header. The search only matches on full name; abbreviations will not work to return an account.

To search for a school, navigate to the “Partner Connect Services” drop-down in the top menu and select “Partner Search” under the Partner Profile header. From there, you can either complete your search using a Partner ID Type and Partner ID, School Name, or by using a City and State. Submit your policy questions to FSA using the Contact Customer Support form available on the Help Center’s Contact Customer Support page. Once on the page, complete the requested information and select "FSA Ask A Fed/Policy" from the Topic drop-down menu.
What is FSA Partner Connect?
FSA Partner Connect is the new FSA branded digital front door for partners and provides a home for each of the partner-facing websites that are often used today. FSA Partner Connect provides some major improvements to existing functionality, such as improved search capabilities in the Federal Student Aid Handbook, and new features, such as Partner Dashboards and Partner Profiles.
