Origination and Disbursement

The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system is designed to support origination, disbursement, and reporting for Direct Loan, Federal Pell Grant, and the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant programs. EDE Suite facilitates the school’s process of interacting with the Common Origination and Disbursement system by automating most of the tasks involved in building the XML Common Record file that COD requires for origination and disbursement of student aid. Schools and their authorized servicers can build and modify the origination and disbursement records that are exchanged with COD, and import COD responses and critical COD reports.

Financial aid administrators, servicers, or other officials can use this site to perform a variety of functions related to student, award, and disbursement data for Federal Pell Grant, Direct Loan, and TEACH Grant programs.

EDExpress

The EDExpress for Windows software is a PC application that processes, packages, and manages Title IV student financial aid records. The U.S. Department of Education (ED) provides EDExpress to post-secondary educational institutions that participate in its Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) process.
