Subject: Gainful Employment Electronic Announcement #69 - Updated NSLDS Gainful Employment User Guide
We are pleased to announce the availability of an updated version of the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Gainful Employment User Guide, now available on the NSLDS User Documentation page on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site.
In this update we have made minor revisions to the file layout for the Gainful Employment Completers List Report (GEPDC1) in Appendix B.3 as well as to the GE Completers List file layout in Appendix C. The following three field descriptions were updated in the Gainful Employment Completers List Program GE Record section, in both file layouts:
Title IV Loan Amount
Debt Amount Source Indicator
- Debt Amount
The updated guide can also be downloaded from the "Resources" section of the Gainful Employment Information Page.
As a reminder, in the coming weeks NSLDS will generate and send to the SAIG mailbox designated by each school a Draft GE Completers List. Schools will have 45 days to review and challenge the information in the file. NSLDS will then send each school its Final GE Completers List.
