Subject: 2019-2020 EDE Technical Reference (Final)
We are pleased to announce the posting of the complete version of the 2019-2020 Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) Technical Reference. The EDE Technical Reference provides programmer specifications, record layouts, and other detailed information for schools and other organizations that need to design software systems to interface with Federal Student Aid's application processing system.
The posting adds 2019–20 versions of the Cover, Table of Contents, Change History log, Overview, EDE Processing, Processing Codes, and Printing sections. We also included the Record Layouts and Processing Codes sections, which were posted originally in May 2018, in this posting.
In addition to its current availability on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website, the guide will also be available in the next several days from the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) website, located at https://fsadownload.ed.gov.
